As our Fundraising Officer (Community) you will be a key member of the income generation team for Winchester Hospice Fundraising Charity, driving community fundraising efforts to deliver ambitious plans and meet financial targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead innovative community fundraising campaigns and manage relationships with community groups (schools, colleges, churches, member groups) to maximise support and donations.
- Take the lead on regular giving initiatives such as direct mail appeals and the hospice lottery.
- Identify new, innovative ways to generate sustainable income from community groups and individuals.
- Establish and build strong relationships with community groups, stewarding supporters appropriately and ensuring exceptional supporter experiences.
- Monitor all income from community groups, regular donors and the lottery to ensure agreed targets are met.
- Research relevant market trends using the database, internet and networks to prioritise opportunities and develop effective community fundraising initiatives.
- Collaborate with the wider team to ensure a unified and effective approach to fundraising, supporting the promotion and delivery of significant events and enhancing supporter journeys.
- Operate effectively and efficiently in compliance with legislation, Charity Commission guidelines, organisational policies and financial structures.
