Hours: 25 hours per week
Contract: Fixed‑term 12 months
Location: Druids Heath, Birmingham (community‑based with hybrid working)
Salary: £45,000 FTE (pro‑rata for part‑time hours)
Reporting to: Chief Executive Officer, Loconomy
Responsibilities
- Provide authoritative, independent advice to residents during the Druids Heath housing regeneration programme.
- Design and deliver resident training and briefing sessions, including advice surgeries, workshops and briefings.
- Support and enable resident‑led engagement in regeneration decisions, helping residents understand proposals and navigate change.
- Act as a trusted intermediary between residents and institutional partners, maintaining independence from the Council, developers, and other stakeholders while collaborating constructively.
- Work closely with two senior Loconomy associates for housing policy and community engagement to ensure frontline advice, policy assurance and engagement activities are joined‑up, accurate and credible.
- Plan and balance time between scheduled advice surgeries, workshops, briefings, preparation, follow‑up advice and professional stakeholder engagement, without requiring a five‑day‑a‑week presence.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in housing, regeneration, planning or a related field.
- CIH qualification or equivalent.
- Strong track record of providing independent advice in complex or sensitive contexts.
- Confidence in designing and delivering training or briefings to non‑specialist audiences.
- Comfortable working with both residents and senior institutional stakeholders.
