Legal Counsel - Commercial - Sports - 2-4PQE

We are currently working with a prominent global sporting organisation that stands at the forefront of international competition. As they continue to expand their footprint across global markets, they are looking to appoint a Legal Counsel to their London team. The Role

The primary focus of this position is the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts. You will be tasked with managing a varied portfolio of agreements that are essential to the organisation's operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-value sponsorship, partnership and brand licensing agreements.
• Managing hospitality and event delivery contracts, ensuring commercial risks are effectively mitigated.
• Providing strategic support on regulatory matters, including those relevant to international sporting compliance and competition law.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders across marketing, operations and business development to ensure legal support aligns with broader commercial objectives.

The Candidate

We are seeking a highly motivated lawyer who is ready to take the next step in their career. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commercial mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Qualification: Solicitor qualified in England and Wales.
• Training: Must have completed training at a top tier law firm.
• Experience: 2 to 4 years of post-qualification experience.
• Commercial Acumen: A solid background in commercial contracts is preferred. We are also very interested in speaking with corporate lawyers who possess excellent drafting skills and a strong desire to transition into a commercial and sports-focused role.
• Skills: Ability to work autonomously while maintaining effective communication with international partners and internal teams.
