Trading Operations Specialist – Hedge Fund (Desk-Aligned Role)

Overview
We are partnering with a high-performing hedge fund to hire an exceptional Operations Specialist to support a front-office trading desk.
This is a desk-aligned role, offering direct exposure to traders and real-time involvement in the investment process. The position goes beyond traditional operations — focused on ownership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced environment.
The Role
- Act as a key partner to the trading desk, managing and resolving issues across the full trade lifecycle
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of trade capture, P&L, and positions
- Investigate and resolve breaks and exceptions with urgency
- Support daily trading activity across complex strategies and products
Process Improvement & Build
- Identify inefficiencies and drive meaningful process improvements
- Lead initiatives to automate workflows and reduce manual touchpoints
- Work closely with technology teams on system enhancements and tooling
- Support the onboarding of new products and trading strategies
Risk & Control
- Maintain strong operational controls without slowing the business down
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational risk
- Take ownership of issues through to resolution
Candidate Profile
- Experience in hedge fund or investment bank operations / trade support
- Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and market products
- Ability to operate effectively in a high-pressure, front-office-facing environment
- Highly detail-oriented with a solutions-driven mindset
