Director of Children’s Social Care

The role carries responsibility for shaping high‑quality, person‑centred services, strong partnership working, and sustained improvement across complex systems. It supports the DCS in their statutory role, acting as their deputy, and sits at the heart of Knowsley’s commitment to delivering the very best outcomes for children, young people, families and communities.

About You

You will be an experienced senior leader with a strong professional background, a track record of driving improvement and assurance, and the credibility to influence at local, regional and national levels.

You will share our values, ambition and commitment to inclusion, collaboration and public service, and be genuinely committed to co‑production, working alongside people with lived experience and wider communities as equal partners in designing and delivering services.

Benefits & Other Information

Salary: £99,161 - £104,870

Location: Huyton – Merseyside
