Job Summary
You will collaborate with the existing Lead Therapist to manage operational aspects of the Dietetic, Speech and Language and First Response Team within the Aintree Inpatient Therapy Service. The role includes direct clinical care of complex nutrition support patients and oversight of multidisciplinary teamwork, with a schedule that requires coverage on Mondays and Tuesdays and across a 7‑day model of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead operational management of the Dietetic, Speech and Language and First Response teams, ensuring quality, safety and high standards of care.
- Support and drive service improvement initiatives, aligning with evidence‑based practice and integrated care pathways.
- Provide direct clinical care for a caseload of complex nutrition support patients.
- Line manage Band 7 Clinical AHPs and support the clinical teams of other therapies.
- Collaborate with the Therapies Senior Leadership Team and Divisional Director of AHPs to report on performance, resource allocation and achievement of Trust objectives.
- Implement patient‑centred clinical and AHP operational strategy, ensuring compliance with legislation, governance and external commissioning requirements.
- Engage, coach and empower a diverse workforce, fostering a learning culture and responding to complaints and concerns.
Qualifications
- Registered Dietitian with clinical leadership experience.
- Experience in providing nutrition support in a clinical setting.
- Strong leadership and people‑management skills, with a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence‑based service delivery.
- Ability to deliver services across professions and integrated pathways, addressing operational issues proactively.
