Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Registered Nurse to work in our multidisciplinary Outpatients department. Our Outpatient departments operate across both internal and external sites and offer a variety of services.

Role Highlights

The role requires flexible and adaptable skills, an aptitude to learn and a motivation to develop your own clinical skills in line with progressive service delivery, involving supporting consultation clinics, dressing clinics and minor operative procedures including patient recovery. It also involves contributing to maintaining patient safety, quality care and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Chaperoning and acting as patient advocate.
• Assisting in procedure clinics and supporting patient recovery.
• Supporting orthopaedic and vascular dressing clinics.
• Supporting the development of new staff.
• Supervision and assessment of students.
• Communicating with patients, their families/carers and staff.
• Managing time effectively.
• Demonstrating basic level of leadership skills/experience.

Skills & Qualifications

Excellent communication skills and willingness to develop management and leadership skills, including supporting staff development, supervision and assessment of the education of junior staff and student nurses.

Ability to work across multiple departments: Sandsfoot, Maumbury, Robert White Centre, South Walks House and Weymouth Community.
