SCHOOL BUSINESS MANAGER

Salary: £36,363 to £40,777 per annum (pro‑rated).

Term: Full‑time. Hours: 37 per week, including term time and up to 2 additional weeks of holiday work.

Start date: 1 September 2026 (with hand‑over days during the summer holiday).

Location: Whittle‑le‑Woods Church Of England Primary School, Preston Road, Whittle‑le‑Woods, Chorley, PR6 7PS.

Whittle‑le‑Woods Church Of England Primary School serves over 240 pupils aged 4‑11 and has a pre‑school on site. The school generates income from pre‑school and out‑of‑school care, enabling a healthy budget for innovative use.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day running of the school with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.
• Oversee all aspects of health and safety, HR and financial planning, and communication systems.
• Line‑manage the Enquiries and Admissions Secretary and Site Supervisor.
• Work closely with other agencies and support the school’s curriculum and provision.
• Contribute to budget planning, resource allocation and creative use of school funds.
