About the role
Consultants provide administrative, project management and analytical work across our projects. Day‑to‑day tasks include detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis, working closely with clients on the frontline to deliver change, and creating documented deliverables such as reports and presentations to support project progress.
Consultants support their colleagues on specific elements of a project – from administration and coordination of project activities, supporting workshops, working with frontline professionals, to capturing key insights for project managers.

About you
- Proven experience working in a change and transformation environment within the public sector, social care, local government, or health settings, including supporting senior project team members with specific workstreams.
- Strong background in collaborating closely with team members on projects, establishing robust relationships swiftly, and addressing resistance effectively.
- Experience facilitating, developing, or supporting workshops, focus groups, or similar activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently on projects while delivering high‑quality outcomes.
- Comfortable adapting quickly to new topics, clients, or acquiring new skills when necessary.
- Experience in building and managing relationships across various stakeholders.
- Possess empathy and emotional intelligence, with resilience necessary for consultancy work.
- Solid understanding of working with values‑driven individuals and organisations.
- Understanding of the ethical responsibilities and practical application of ethics within a consulting relationship.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office software, e.g. PowerPoint and Excel.
Project Delivery
- Mobilise workstreams and projects, including set‑up and data requests.
- Host sessions with multi‑agency professionals, including case reviews.
- Perform data analysis.
- Support resident consultation and governance.
- Develop insights and recommendations for clients.
- Create data dashboards.
- Develop strengths‑based practice using behavioural science.
- Drive client‑led work with project management tools.
- Improve processes through analysis.
- Enhance outcomes at the interface between organisations.
- Ensure effective project management with the team.
- Assist clients in delivering impactful ideas.
- Maintain project pace, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Produce high‑quality reports and presentations with guidance from the Project Manager.
- Monitor and share project impact regularly.
Relationship Management
- Build strong client relationships, especially with operational staff and key stakeholders.
- Support client staff to advance projects and share EDGEWORK methods.
- Foster connections across IMPOWER, seeking support and sharing insights.
- Collaborate closely with the internal project team, addressing challenges as needed.
Internal Business Development
- Contribute internally to new business approaches, sharing skills and knowledge.
- Share lessons learned from project delivery to improve future delivery of projects and development of client proposals.
- Contribute to the development of methodologies, tools and intellectual property relevant to the advancement of our sector‑specific value propositions.
- Help promote IMPOWER externally, through online materials, marketing activities and professional networks.
- Enhance company skills through presentations and training and participation in company events.
