Worldwide Flight Services is seeking a Landside Transport Manager to support the current transport operation with the operational management and compliance of a major Road Feeder Service (RFS) network. You will be working under the guidance of the Landside Transport Manager, and will be managing a team of 5/6 staff members, and circa 40 trucks. You will act as the first point of contact for customers, main hauliers, having a strong focus on planning, customer satisfaction, communication and overall responsibility for Transport operations.
Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis will be (but not limited to):
- Responsible for ensuring a coherent interface between every area of the operation toensure efficiency and effectiveness
- Motivate and develop planners to equip them with the skills to manage their teams ofdrivers
- Ensure compliance with all Transport legislations and Health & Safety requirements
- Be responsible for communication throughout the transport operation
- Propose and implement changes to the operation to improve efficiency and/or levels ofperformance
- Ensure a secure and safe environment for team members and assets
- Achieve efficiency through managing planning & controlling staff daily, and an ongoingbasis through objectives
- Manage a team of c.60 drivers, along with planning teams
- Ensuring key performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved, including compliance, service, and financial targets
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and Company safety standards
Qualifications
- Experience in managing the invoicing process in a high volume and complex environment
- Ability to use IT systems to process, track and report activities
- Good numeracy skills to handle payroll calculations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and multitask in a complex operational environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Focus on providing excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Comfortable in using the Office package, including Excel
