Band 7 Senior Midwife (Labour Ward Coordinator) - Rotational

BHRUT is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic midwife to join our team as a Band 7 Senior Midwife. If you are an NMC registered midwife who has an NMC PIN Number and would like to make a difference to women and their families, then we would like to hear from you.

The role is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, adjusted for the time taken to advertise, hire, and complete pre‑employment checks. The contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that midwifery practice is evidence‑based and women‑centred.
• Provide expert midwifery advice and guidance to all members of the multidisciplinary team when necessary.
• Set, monitor and maintain high standards of midwifery care within the ward environment.
• Maintain personal contact with women, relatives and carers, being sensitive to their needs for courtesy, dignity and privacy.

Qualifications

• NMC registered midwife with an NMC PIN Number.
