Secondary School Art Teacher

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with various secondary schools in south Manchester to recruit a qualified Art Teacher, starting immediately or from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher to join a supportive school environment and deliver engaging lessons that inspire creativity, confidence, and artistic skills across the curriculum.

Location: Trafford, Greater Manchester (or willing to travel)Start Date: Immediate start or September 2026Contract: Supply (short-term or long-term opportunities available)Salary: Matched to your level on the Teacher Pay Scale for long-term roles

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Teach art to KS3 and KS4
• Monitor, assess, and provide feedback on student progress
• Maintain an inclusive, creative, and well-managed classroom environment
• Support departmental planning where required
• Promote positive behaviour and a passion for the arts

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is an ECT
• Is qualified in Art or a closely related subject
• Has experience teaching Art at secondary level (ECTs encouraged to apply)
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Is based in Trafford or happy to travel
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
