Science Teacher

Are you an enthusiastic Secondary Science Teacher, keen to make an impact working with SEND pupils? A specialist school in South Nottingham are seeking an experienced and inspiring Secondary Teacher to join their supportive, collaborative team.

Set in a beautiful, Grade II-listed building, the school caters to pupils aged 7-18 yrs with SEMH needs.

Job description:

• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons to learners with complex needs
• Promoting positive behaviour and interactions
• Monitoring student progress
• Pupil supervision outside the class including school trips and activities
• Full-time, permanent role
• Start September 2026
• Salary up to £40,179 (including SEN allowance) - dependent on experience

Person specification:

• Experience working with SEND pupils, ideally within a specialist setting
• Strong experience in teaching GCSE Science
• Experience of behaviour management and de-escalation
• QTS or QTLS
