Are you interested in influencing policy to create a productive and sustainable agri-food supply chain? We are seeking a driven and dynamic Policy Manager for AIC Scotland to represent our Member businesses and play a leading role in influencing Scottish agricultural policy.
This is a full‑time, home‑based role, with three days per week focused on Scotland‑specific policy work and two days per week supporting UK‑wide policy activity.
Responsibilities
- Lead on developing and advancing AIC Scotland’s policy positions to support a productive and sustainable Scottish agriculture sector.
- Engage closely with AIC Members, policymakers and stakeholders, representing AIC Scotland in key discussions and providing expert insight into food and feed supply chains.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Scottish Government and agencies such as Food Standards Scotland, to ensure Members’ interests are reflected in policy development and regulatory discussions.
- Report to AIC’s Chief Executive, and work closely with the AIC Head of Policy and External Affairs and relevant AIC sector heads as part of a team of policy experts.
- Ensure the sector’s voice is heard in policy development, regulatory consultations and industry‑wide initiatives, while supporting Members through technical guidance, political lobbying and clear communication.
- Aim to add value for Members in every action, focusing on serving their interests and strengthening their businesses.
