Grade A – £24,796 – £28,142

Consultation grade – subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review

Working hours – 35 hours per week, Monday‑Friday term time only, 7:30 am – 2 pm approximately

Schedule – 3 cleaning days and 5 teacher training days

Location – Clifton Primary School, Brunswick Road, Sparkbrook, B12 8NX

Cityserve is a Birmingham City Council catering service for school meals, providing fresh and nutritious food for school kitchens across the UK. Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking meals for pupils
• Assist in planning and controlling all aspects of the service
• Keep the kitchen clean and tidy
• Assist in costing, stock‑taking and keeping appropriate records using IT skills (ILearning and Oracle)
• Assist with staff training
• Maintain a menu with balanced diets and allergen control
• Be aware of the care users’ needs and dietary preferences
• Manage the kitchen in the absence of the Catering Supervisor

Qualifications and Personal Qualities

• Previous kitchen experience (essential)
• Food Safety Level 3
• Allergy Awareness Certificate
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good people skills
• Passion about food and customer service
• Great team player
• High standards and quality drive
• A ‘can do’ attitude
