About the opportunity:Everton in the Community isseekingto appointa numberofCasualPrimaryEducation Coach(es)who will deliver andmonitorhigh quality primary school programmes to schools throughout Merseyside, to increase participation among participants of all abilities.
As aPrimary Education CasualCoach,youwill deliver and evaluate high quality classroom interventions in maths, English and PSHE alongside upskilling and developing teacher subject knowledge when delivering the PE National Curriculum. This may include whole class support, targetedgroupor targeted individual support.
Youwill inspire and empower young people to pursue positive change, live healthier lives andtransitionand contribute towards creating stronger communities and brighterfutures.
Please be advised this is not a football coaching role.
Other key responsibilities will include:
Delivery of lessons pre-planned for Primary Stars program to children aged 5-11
Support teachers in enhancing PE and school sport skills
Deliver the following to a variety of ages and individual needsincluding;Maths,Englishand PSHE targeted interventions/mentoring. Football focused delivery,Girlsfootball ASC, Social action, SEN/D provision, Transition from KS2 to KS3 and Attendance. Ensuring that all activities delivered reflect the national curriculum and OFSTED guidelines
Safeguarding
To understand the Clubs Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines
To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices,appropriate reportingof concerns and contribute positively to an Anti-bullying environment
Who we are looking for: We are looking forindividuals who have previousexperience of working in schools and community settings specifically within the5-11 age group and who have been identifiedasSENDand who have good knowledge and understanding of thefundamentalsskills ofa number ofsports.
Essential qualifications include:
NGB level 2 in at least one sport
This position will be offered on aCasual basis working as and whenrequiredto suit the needs of the programme.
Themainlocation for this rolewill be within the Everton in the Community campus. However, the postholder willbe requiredto be mobile across schools and community venues across Merseyside
