Deputy Chief Electrician Role - The Palace Theatre, Manchester
The Deputy Chief LX is a senior member of the Technical Team within the Manchester Palace Theatre. Your line manager is the Chief Electrician, and you are required to deputise for the Chief LX and manage a pool of casual technicians. Youll work closely with the full-time technical team and other Heads of Department across both venues.
The role will be based at the Palace Theatre. Under the Chief LX you will have responsibility for leading the LX team of the venue, and youll assist the Technical Manager and the Chief LX in managing the technical operations of the venue, working closely with the Technical HODs. On occasion you will be required to work at the Opera House (sister theatre) dependent on the requirements of the programme.
As a senior member of the Department, you will assist the Technical Manager in the implementation, monitoring, and cultural approach to workplace safety and compliance across the technical operations of the venue, and ensuring visiting productions, contractors and visitors are aware of and in compliance with ATG Entertainment's policies and procedures. You will support the Chief LX on the maintenance of the venues electrical systems and equipment and liaising with visiting productions regarding all electrical and sound requirements, providing the highest standards of customer experience for our guest.
