The role: Integrated Account Executive
Design Portfolio is looking for a motivated graduate (or early-career candidate) to join our growing Client Services team. If you’re organised, enjoy working with people, and take pride in getting the details right, you’ll do well here. We’re looking for someone who communicates clearly, is naturally curious, and is keen to learn.
In this role, you’ll support our Client Services team to keep projects running smoothly - from day-to-day coordination and research through to supporting the development of deliverables. Some of your time will be spent client-facing (with support from a Client Services Director/Account Director/Account Manager/Sustainability Lead), and you’ll also provide wider team support when needed. Our work is varied, including annual and sustainability reports, presentations, website builds and updates, employee experience projects, video and photography, and other corporate communications briefs.
Main responsibilities
- Be a friendly second point of contact for clients, with guidance and support from a Client Services Director/Account Director/Account Manager/Sustainability Lead.
- Keep project administration on track for your client projects, and provide ad hoc support to the wider team. This could include creating pagination plans and sitemaps, drafting and updating statements of work and timelines, writing up clear meeting notes (from your own notes and/or transcripts), and tracking time spent against budget.
- Pull together client and sector research, turning what you find into clear notes the wider team can use.
- Join workshops, working sessions and meetings, capturing clear notes and actions, and helping to keep agendas on track.
- Help keep our online management information system up to date, so we can track client information and plan resourcing across projects.
- Update project timelines around key milestones, and help rebook internal resource when plans change. Over time, you’ll build the confidence to draft first-pass timetables yourself.
- Support the team to deliver accurate statements of work quickly, and help with project finance tasks such as purchase orders and invoicing.
- Keep weekly team production agendas up to date and join weekly production meetings to talk through project status and next steps.
- Liaise with third-party suppliers when needed (for example, copywriters, printers and photographers).
- Support with day-to-day updates and amends using our digital CMS and/or corporate reporting authoring systems.
- Work closely with Client Services and Production to stay up to date with our tools and systems, and support clients and teammates with day-to-day use.
- Help collate and populate content as part of website build projects.
- Support proofing and checking of design/content amends to make sure everything is accurate, consistent and high quality.
- Bring what you’re learning into other projects when needed, helping our integrated teams work smoothly across the business.
- Get involved in internal projects and research that help you learn more about our work, our clients and how we do things.
Requirements
For this role, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- Has a university degree/degree-level equivalent, preferably English related (given level of accuracy required in this role), although candidates with other suitable/equivalent experience or degrees will be considered.
- Good command of the English language, with accurate spelling and grammar, proficient keyboard skills, and strong attention to detail.
- Is organised and is a highly proactive administrator, with excellent attention to detail.
- Has a strong aptitude for using software tools and systems.
- Ambitious, positive and willing to learn.
- Able to work from home (due to hybrid working).
We encourage applications from all walks of life to join our industries of communications and sustainability. As a business, we constantly strive to be a more diverse workplace, to grow both commercially and culturally. We also encourage applications from candidates who do not feel that they meet all the criteria, but have a passion for communications/sustainability and an eagerness to learn.
