Director of Clinical Services

CPL Healthcare, in partnership with a leading hospital provider, is seeking an experienced and inspiring director of clinical services to oversee clinical services within a hospital setting and help deliver exceptional patient care, safety, and operational excellence. This is a 6-month contract opportunity.

The Role

You’ll lead multidisciplinary clinical teams, drive quality and governance standards, and work closely with senior leadership to shape strategy, improve patient outcomes, and create an outstanding patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support all clinical services and teams
• Promote a strong culture of patient safety and clinical excellence
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and governance standards
• Drive quality improvement, safeguarding, infection prevention, and risk management
• Coach, develop, and inspire clinical leaders and teams
• Support workforce planning, performance, and service development
• Contribute to hospital strategy and operational leadership

What We’re Looking For

• Registered Nurse (Adult) or equivalent clinical qualification
• Current professional registration (NMC or equivalent)
• Senior clinical leadership experience within healthcare
• Strong understanding of governance, patient safety, and quality improvement
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
• Strategic mindset with the ability to lead change and innovation
