We’re looking for Behaviour & Inclusion Support staff to join a specialist setting in North Kirklees. This is a place where young people who’ve been excluded, unwell, or let down by mainstream education get another chance. A proper fresh start.
And that starts with you.
Supporting KS3 and KS4 students as they settle into a new environment
Working 1:1 or in small, close-knit groups
Helping young people who communicate differently or need clear structure to feel seen and understood
Staying grounded when emotions run high, showing there’s always a calm adult in the room
This isn’t about “managing behaviour”. It’s about understanding it.
Stay calm when things escalate, you don’t take it personally
Understand that behaviour is communication
Believe every young person deserves a reset, not another rejection
Bring consistency, warmth, and clear boundaries
An enhanced DBS on the update service, or be happy to apply for one with us

A solid understanding of safeguarding

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
