About the Role

Key responsibilities include:
Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs around the school site
Ensuring buildings, grounds, and facilities are clean, safe, and secure
Monitoring heating, lighting, and other building systems
Supporting health and safety compliance, including fire safety and risk assessments
Responding to emergencies and performing minor repairs as required
Assisting with the setup of school events, assemblies, and activities
Liaising with contractors and service providers as needed
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Have experience in maintenance, caretaking, or facilities management, ideally in a school environment
Be confident using hand tools, basic maintenance equipment, and safety procedures
Demonstrate excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Be reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
Understand health and safety regulations and compliance requirements
