About the Role
The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day upkeep and maintenance of the school site, supporting the caretaker and facilities team to ensure a safe and functional environment. You will be involved in a variety of practical tasks to maintain the school’s buildings, grounds, and facilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting maintenance and repair tasks around the school site
Ensuring the school grounds and buildings are clean, safe, and secure
Monitoring and reporting any issues with heating, lighting, or other building systems
Assisting with health and safety compliance, including fire safety and risk assessments
Helping set up rooms and facilities for school events and activities
Assisting with waste management, cleaning, and general upkeep of the site
Liaising with contractors and service providers as needed
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate will:
Have experience in site maintenance, caretaking, or facilities support
Be confident using basic tools and equipment safely
Demonstrate reliability, initiative, and strong organisational skills
Understand health and safety procedures and comply with regulations
