Field Service Engineer

Recruit4staff are representing a leading global packaging solutions manufacturer in their search for a Field Service Engineer to work covering Glasgow and the wider Scotland region

Job Details: Pay: Up to £53,000 per annum (Company Car provided)

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, Days role, 40 hours per week (flexibility required)

Duration: Permanent

Job Role: The Field Service Engineer will support customers across the United Kingdom and occasionally overseas, ensuring high-speed packaging machinery is maintained to exceptional standards and operates at greater than 98% efficiency. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of packaging equipment at customer sites while maintaining the highest safety standards. Working as a Field Service Engineer, you will travel regularly across Scotland and the wider UK, diagnosing faults, completing preventative maintenance, and ensuring equipment performance meets customer expectations.

Essential Skills, Experience, or Qualifications:

Extensive experience installing, maintaining, and repairing electromechanical machinery as a Field Service Engineer

Knowledge and practical experience of PLCs and mechatronic systems

Minimum Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

Flexibility for frequent travel and overnight stays when required

Advantageous Skills, Experience, or Qualifications

Project management experience

Lean and Six Sigma experience

Additional Information

Travel across Scotland, UK-wide, and occasional overseas travel required
