Our client, a leading manufacturing and engineering company who specialise in providing precise, innovative, and cost-effective products to fit any complex requirements are in search of a Quality Engineer to join their team based in Newry.

Our client has state of the art facilities and a long service team who are expanding their product range.

Main Responsibilities:

Ensure that all products and processes achieve the desired quality, safety, efficiency, and reliability levels

Responsible for carrying out Quality inspections, reducing waste and improving manufacturing

Support continuous improvement activities e.g., 8D reviews, corrective action plans, Kaizen events

Auditing of Quality process within Production, Stores and Order Processing and admin functions.

Recording of Non-Conformances

Provide technical and problem-solving advice regarding materials and production systems

Facilitate timely response to open customer issues, ensure internal and external documentation is produced and maintained in response

The successful candidate will have:

2+ years experience in Quality Engineering

Degree educated in an engineering / technical discipline with experience in applying problem-solving techniques in a manufacturing environment

Excellent customer-facing skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
