About the Role:
This role is a Service Management role and not a hands on role. This role would suit someone ambitious, intelligent and curious who is looking to develop quickly.
The Network Specialist is a crucial role within the IT department, responsible for managing and overseeing the company's network infrastructure. This position involves strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of network systems to ensure optimal performance and security. The Network Specialist will work closely with other IT professionals, departments, and external vendors to support the organization's network requirements and initiatives.
Responsibilities
Working alongside service owners and service providers to ensure systems are maintained.
Working closely with IT Service providers to maintain agreed service levels
Working closely with the business to understand IT needs
Delivery complex projects alongside service providers and service owners
Reporting to senior IT management
Working alongside service providers to deliver on complex projects, ensuring standards are policies are maintained
Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors and service providers.
Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and ensure the timely delivery of products and services.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance the network infrastructure.
Knowledge
· Bachelor’s Degree in the field of information technologies or equivalent experience
· Deep knowledge of WAN, LAN, Wireless, & Remote Access
· A high level of technical expertise and clear insights into current business practices
Skills
Strong analytical skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in spoken and written English
Experience
2-4 years of relevant work experience
