Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer

Salary: up to £55,000 DOE

Location: Hertfordshire, UK

A client of ours are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing, collaborative consultancy team delivering high-quality infrastructure and development projects across a diverse portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer to further develop technical, commercial, and leadership skills while working closely with senior staff in a supportive environment.

Chartership is strongly advised for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Site appraisals, feasibility studies, and pre-application advice.
• Infrastructure and drainage design, including SuDS and FRA.
• Highways design (Section 38 and Section 278).
• Earthworks, cut/fill analysis, and ground modelling.
• Liaison with authorities and adoption agreements.
• Contract administration and site supervision.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

• Minimum 8 years’ post-qualification experience in a civil engineering consultancy.
• Strong experience in infrastructure and drainage design.
• Proficiency in FLOW drainage modelling software and Civil 3D.
• Strong communication skills with confidence in client-facing roles.
