Most full stack engineers have never had a trader lean over their shoulder and ask why a position update took half a second. If you have, this role is likely relevant to you.
I am working on a confidential mandate for a London-based trading firm rebuilding its client-facing trading platform from the ground up.
They are looking for a senior full stack engineer who understands that the frontend of a trading application is not a website. It is a mission-critical instrument used in live market conditions.
The environment is highly engineering-led and focused on performance, responsiveness, and reliability under real-time trading workloads.
The stack includes:
This is not a generic enterprise engineering role.
The users are professional traders operating in fast-moving market environments. They think in ticks, liquidity, and execution quality — not page load times.
The team itself includes engineers from leading trading firms, systematic funds, HFT environments, and tier-one investment banks. The expectation around engineering quality, system design, and responsiveness is exceptionally high.
Trading desk experience is not a “nice to have” here. It is central to the mandate.
If you have built production-grade C# trading applications and understand what it means to engineer software directly for front-office users, I would genuinely like to speak with you.
The role is confidential and off-market. Compensation reflects the seniority and rarity of the profile being sought.
