We are seeking a dedicated IT Support Engineer to join Baillie Martin's expanding in‑house IT department, based in the greater Cookstown area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy technical team responsible for maintaining and supporting the company's infrastructure across multiple sites. The successful candidate will provide essential technical support for hardware, software, and network systems, ensuring seamless daily operations and supporting ongoing upgrade projects. This role is ideal for individuals looking to enhance their technical expertise in a dynamic environment, with exposure to a variety of systems and technologies. The position offers a competitive starting salary of £32,000 to £35,000, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing training opportunities.
The ideal candidate will possess a third‑level education qualification in a relevant IT discipline and have prior experience working within a similar IT support environment. Proficiency in Office 365 desktop applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential, along with hands‑on experience in Office 365 administration, including Exchange, OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint. Knowledge of Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy and VMWare, is required. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to effectively liaise with team members and end‑users. A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle are preferred due to the multi‑site setup and location of the company’s facilities.
