Engineering Project Manager (Mechanical & Electrical) - Northern & Scotland Region
Lead High‑Impact Engineering Projects Across the North England & Scotland.
We’re looking for a driven and collaborative professional to take ownership of capital engineering projects across multiple sites – delivering innovation, safety, and performance improvements across a busy operational landscape.
As an Engineering Project Manager (Mechanical basis) you will play a key role in delivering capital projects across our N & S operational sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end project delivery, from concept and design through to commissioning.
- Provide mechanical and electrical engineering expertise to support operational performance and improvements.
- Work within a CDM environment, ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and compliance.
- Manage project budgets, timelines and resources, ensuring investments deliver expected outcomes.
- Partner closely with operational teams to deliver practical, value‑driven engineering solutions.
- Deliver projects safely, promoting a zero‑harm culture.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors and site teams.
- Apply value engineering and best practice to optimise project outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and performance improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all engineering, HSE and CDM regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across regional operations.
- Interpret and challenge technical designs, drawings and specifications (CAD).
Qualifications
- Strong operational engineering/project experience within an industrial or heavy‑industry environment.
- Qualifications in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering (Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
- Proven project management experience including budgeting and delivery.
- Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and safe project delivery.
- Ability to scope, estimate and deliver complex projects.
- Experience working across multi‑disciplinary teams in a multi‑site environment.
- Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong problem‑solving ability.
- Proven financial awareness and commercial astuteness.
- High levels of resilience, adaptability and self‑awareness.
- Knowledge of Quarry Regulations 1999 (preferred).
